Jibaku Shounen Hanako-kun (地縛少年花子くん Jibaku Shōnen Hanako-kun) is an ongoing manga by AidaIro which has been serializing in the G-Fantasy magazine since 2014, with twenty-two volumes available at the time of writing. It releases in english monthly through a simulpub from Yen Press, and can be read on the Manga UP! for Android and IOS.
On January 9th of Winter 2020, an anime adaptation of the manga by Lerche began airing, later ending on March 26th of the same year after a 12-episode run. The anime later returned through a Spin-off adaptation, After-School Hanako-Kun, in October of 2023. A 2nd season of the anime adaptation is confirmed for 2025.
Synopsis
"Said to occupy the third stall of the third floor girls' bathroom in the old school building, Hanako-san grants any wish when summoned. Nene Yashiro, an occult-loving high school girl who dreams of romance, ventures into this haunted bathroom... but Hanako-san... is a boy!"
